Dear Friends,

Over a year ago I joined a writing group, The Tall Pines Fiction Writers. We’ve been meeting every other week, and they have been a great source of support and inspiration to me. There are four of us, all working on novels with themes as varied as time travel, teen-age mountaineering adventures, mysterious and dangerous hauntings, and the troubles of a grounded astronaut.

On Saturday, August 11, we will be hosting an event at the Boulder Public Library from 1-3:30 p.m. We will each read from our newly published books or works in progress. There will be refreshments and informal time to talk with the authors.

All of my friends and their friends are invited.

With The Tall Pines Writers, I have continued work on my novel Song of Eliria, a companion novel to Never Again, in which the Elirians again touch a life with a miraculous gift. In Song of Eliria, Harriet, a middle-aged chiropractor, is given the gift of healing song, with which she can completely heal whomever she sings to. I finished the first draft last March, am now working on refining it, and hope to have it ready for publication in 2019.
Also last March, I received word that two of my novels had been shortlisted in the Chanticleer International Book Awards.

The Purest Gold was shortlisted in the Laramie Book Awards for Western, Civil War, and Prairie Fiction, and Never Again was shortlisted in Paranormal Book Awards. Sadly, neither of them received an award, but it is good to know they were appreciated and got that far.

As always I appreciate your interest in my literary endeavors and welcome your comments and responses.

I hope you are enjoying the richness of summer, and would love to connect with you at our event here in Boulder in August.
