HOWL & ARTEFECT IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

This weekend Aphids has you covered - Friday sees our Western Australian Premiere of Howl at Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts. Originally performed in 2016, Howl is a celebration of provocative moments in art history; a ritual procession starring a sculpture of Captain Cook, thousands of sunflower seeds and a killer whale named Tilikum. A requiem that is unquestionably queer, arguably dangerous and probably obscene.
Two shows only, 27 & 28 July, tickets here

Saturday 28 we screen Artefact at Perth Cultural Centre with Disrupted Festival. Artist James Brennan will be speaking at 2.15pm on the panel Taking Art out of the Gallery and at 5.15pm the free screening will take place.
