Our Girls Group has been having an awesome summer so far with tons of activities. One especially exciting activity our girls have been up to is learning to skateboard at with the CHILL Boston Program.
The Girls have also had cooking nights, yoga, movie nights and more. Their August activity calendar is full of fun so if you're interested in joining please contact Caitlyn DeCarlo, cdecarlo@sbnh.org.
 

Our SLIP Program is well underway and we have some fantastic participants this year. Aside from working hard at their internships, the SLIP kids also do some fun summer trips and workshops including, rowing, a trip to Escape the Room, a trip to Hale Reservation, a resume writing workshop and more!
Our SLIP participants have also been working hard on business ideas and will be presenting their projects on August 22nd Shark Tank style!

The Senior and Adult Program participants have had a busy few weeks with everything from days trips to Castle Island, ice cream parties, shopping at Assembly Square, and afternoon trips to the movies at the new South Bay movie theater.

In July, we hosted a fun night of dancing and singing with Rich Picceri. Everyone enjoyed the music, food and fun. Big thanks to Jane Babine, Toby Messina & Rainy Fiasconaro for cooking and waitressing!

Our participants are taking a trip to Twin River Casino on Thursday, Sept. 6^th leaving the Ollie at 9:00. Leaving Twin River at 3:00. Cost is $30.00 and includes $10.00 slot play and $7.00 food voucher to any restaurant there.

The Rodman Disney Trip is right around the corner and we have seven lucky Ollie kids going on the trip this year. Last year's Disney crew (pictured above) had an amazing time! The trip is provided by Don Rodman’s Disney for Kids program. The trip is a week long and includes 200 kids from the Dorchester/South Boston area. 

The Ollie kids selected for the trip range in age from 9 to 14 and have never been to Disney or had a traveling opportunity like this before. South Boston Neighborhood House would like to sincerely thank Don Rodman for his endless generosity and we are so excited for all the kids going on the trip. 

Each participant is expected to pay $150.00 toward the trip and bring additional spending money; this is not possible for the kids we have selected this year.
