NASHVILLE, Tenn. – What happens in the barn isn’t staying in the barn any longer as CMT world premieres Dustin Collins’ sultry music video for "The Barn" today on CMT.com. Click HERE to watch.
"This is my favorite video that we've shot so far. I think it really embodies the feeling of fun in the summertime...full of beer, bonfires and friends," shared Collins.
The Bardstown, Ky. native stars in the music video, which was filmed in his home state and directed by Bo Allen. The music video follows the schedule of a southern, summer day, as the scenes begin with work in the field and end with a romp in the hay. The final scene features a surprising twist as Collins' character discovers that the barn can be enjoyed at any age.
Fans first got a chance to listen to "The Barn," written by Jack Williams and Troy Johnson, when it premiered exclusively on TheBoot.com. "The Barn" is Collins’ current single off his new album It’s Been Awhile, available on August 3 through Average Joe’s Entertainment on DCDL Entertainment. As the first release following his No. 1 Billboard Singles Sales hit "Cold Dead Hands," It’s Been Awhile is already gaining momentum as Collins partners with multiple national media outlets to share exclusive content from the album. In this recent Billboard.com profile, Collins debuted his album art and provided a first to listen "It Always Starts With You" and "It’s Been Awhile." Parade.com also premiered an acoustic performance video of the title track about "life, love and finding that someone you just can walk away from" (Laura Whitmore/Parade).
A true road warrior, Collins spent thousands of miles on the road playing in honky tonks, fairs and festivals throughout the midwest and his home state of Kentucky, including a slot on Aaron Watson's Vaquero Tour, as well as opening for Chris Janson, Granger Smith, Kane Brown, the Kentucky Headhunters and many more.
