Sad news: Dave Elliott

It is with heavy hearts that we want to let you know that TWG member Dave Elliott passed away on July 21. Further details are provided in the obituary copied from The Star, below. To Dave's family and friends we'd like to convey our deepest sympathies. He will be missed.

Dave Elliott, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on July 21, 2018. Dave is survived by his wife, Cheryl, his children, Ryan and wife Angie, Shaun, Megan and husband Alex, Kate, brother, Paul and his grandchildren,
Kiera, Chloe and Kenzie. Dave was born on July 3, 1954 in Toronto, Ontario. Dave was a magnificent person who touched the lives of many. He will always be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 25th between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at: The Waterside Inn, 15 Stavebank Road South, South Ballroom, Mississauga, ON L5G 2T2. Phone: 905-891-7770. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: TOWARF (Town of Oakville Water & Air Rescue Force), 2 Navy Street, Oakville, ON L6J 2Y5. TOWARF is an organization that was near and dear to Dave's heart at which he volunteered for 18 years. Dave served as Captain and Commander during his tenure and derived tremendous joy from his service and TOWARF family. Dave, you are the Captain of our ship. Keep navigating the waters!
