A News Source for Friends of Duke Urology  •  July 2018
Message from the Chief

Welcome to our new Duke Urology bimonthly newsletter. With so much going on in our Division, we thought it easier to provide an online update on our achievements more frequently than our semiannual printed Duke Urology Newsletter. I hope that you have a wonderful summer, and as The Happenings sang in 1966, “See You in September.”

Duke Urologic Assembly

The 50th anniversary Duke Urologic Assembly was held at the Omni Hilton Head Resort April 5–8, 2018. To commemorate this golden anniversary, ten graduates of the Duke Urology program were featured speakers in addition to the regular Duke Urology faculty. We were excited to have 29 former residents and fellows attend the continuing medical education meeting, highlighted by a dinner for our alumni association DYSURIA.

Plans are already being made for the Duke Urologic Assembly at the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, March 28–31, 2019. We hope that you can join us.

Duke faculty members Brant Inman, Drew Peterson, Jonathan Routh, and Chuck Scales gave invited lectures. The Duke Urology alumni organization, DYSURIA, hosted a reception that was attended by over 80 members and guests.
