The Regional Investment Corporation's (RIC) latest round of loans for farmers has been released.  They are;
  • Farm investment loans - to support farmers with improving the strength, resilience and profitability of their farm, and
  • Drought loans - supporting farmers who are recovering from drought.

FARM HOUSEHOLD ALLOWANCE EXTENDED TO 4 YEARS
 
The Farm Household Allowance (FHA) is being extended from 3 to 4 years.

The FHA extension comes into effect from 1 August 2018.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS - FARM DEBT MEDIATION


At times balancing the books and paying creditors can be challenging and stressful, especially in the current climate. Knowing your rights and the process if a creditor commences recovery of a debt, will aid in reducing stress.
 
The Farm Debt Mediation scheme provides new obligations for creditors and new rights for farmers.  It’s compulsory for banks and other creditors to offer mediation to farmers before commencing any debt recovery proceedings on farm mortgages.

Please remember, you don’t need to go it alone…great support networks are available.
