Loaves & Fishes is now a food redistribution center to metro meal programs, such as shelters and after-school programs, through an innovative collaboration with SHH. The Hub, as it’s called, will benefit small to mid-size organizations by providing programs the ability to order just the right amount of food and access to a wider variety of food including farm-fresh produce.

Pictured above is first ever large-scale summer produce giveaway by The Camden Promise at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in North Minneapolis. It’s just one part of a community Block Party and Peace Walk event done twice a month on Saturdays through September. By creating a festive atmosphere and bringing local people together, they hope to make the event one where local families, and especially children, feel safe and welcome and supported by their home community.
