Humanities Amped has been working in the East Baton Rouge community for over 4 years, teaching hundreds of students literacy, civics, and socio-emotional skills. 

The Humanities Amped in numbers:

• Over 300 students in 4 cohorts and 2 electives

• 75 English Language Learners (ELLs)

• 9 Amped teachers

• 100+ teachers trained professionally across the district

Amped students…:

• Mentor apprentice writers in elementary and middle schools

• Produce social science research and present it at the Humanities Amped Annual Research Conference held at LSU

• Write and perform poetry

• Develop strong problem-solving and socio-emotional skills
