The Automotive Policy Research Centre (APRC) is a network of academic researchers, industry partners, and policy-makers that studies the role of public policy in supporting Canada’s globally competitive automotive industry. We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow with a PhD (at the time of writing) in the social sciences, business, engineering, or any policy-related field. Working under the supervision of APRC Principal Investigator Dr. Charlotte Yates and Dr. Greig Mordue at McMaster University, the ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a project that examines the implementation of new production technologies (e.g. Industry 4.0) in Canada’s automotive industry. This is a topic that industry stakeholders and policy-makers have identified as critical to the competitiveness of Canada’s automotive industry moving forward.
 
In addition to a PhD, the ideal candidate will have an interest in public policy, manufacturing, and have developed strong qualitative and quantitative research skills in their graduate studies and/or early career work.  They will be expected to develop networks with industry stakeholders and policy-makers during the conception, research design, data collection, and dissemination phases of the research.
