Passionate Destiny

Dear <<First Name>>,

I was speaking to a friend of mine recently about her beautiful kids and I couldn’t stop thinking of a conversation I had when I was younger with another friend of mine. He taught me that the friends we have, will be raising our kids together with us, influencing their destinies. I was like... "Wait, say that again and explain...?" He made me think about the fact that we become like the people we hang out with, that they influence our thinking and ultimately our destiny. I just went cold, because I realized in that moment that I had people in my inner circle that I didn't want to help raise my kids. A few weeks later, I broke away from my group of friends and started a new journey almost completely alone. Those who came looking for me and were prepared to talk things through, well, we’ve been friends ever since. I call them quality people. This happened just after I turned 21. I still practice this rule today. I will mingle with almost anyone, but I will not include just anyone into my inner circle (my thinking patterns).

So my question to you today is, who are you allowing to influence your thinking and your destiny and ultimately your children's destiny?
House Regeneration – Fun day
On the 14th of July we had the opportunity to host a FUN day at the Ladies’ side of House Regeneration. The only objective was to build relationship and have fun. These ladies are already part of a 12-month programme in which they get the opportunity to meet Jesus, receive inner healing and take part in discipleship, while going through severe withdrawals. So sometimes, the most Holy thing one can do is just to let your hair down and have fun, laugh and look silly. The joy of the Lord is our strength, right? But it also brings perspective. Thank you to all who were involved in loving these ladies.

Current Projects:
  • “Adopt a Junky” Giving back a Person
We have the opportunity to place one of our “regulars” in a drug rehab for 6 months. He has been consistent in bringing down his drug usage from 15 bags a day to only 2. We have found a place that will take him in and help him break the cycle and teach him a whole new skill set. However we are still in need of more funds. We are half way to the monthly cost.

We need R3000 per month for 6 months. Currently we have commitments adding up to R2300 per month. We need another 7 people to commit R100 per month for 6 months. If you would like to assist us in this regard, please let me know.

  • 25 Aug 2018: White Settlement
This will be our first time that we enter into communities like this. We are super excited. God opened a door for us to a very small community. It has been communicated to us that the people have so much food that they are looking after some other communities out of their overflow. Isn’t that amazing? However they do want us to go and minister to them for the day.

We would love to bless them with some luxuries, like a “braaivleis” lunch and some things for their homes. I will be going through to them this week, so that we can determine what the actual need is and then we can put things together. If you would like to help me with this project, please e-mail me through this link

  • 26 – 28 Oct 2018: Burn Worship Weekend – Jeremiah 29:13
We are hosting an all weekend worship camp. God spoke to our hearts to bring back a culture where we worship Jesus for who He is and to seek His face. We have already put in a lot of work on this event and we are super excited and are looking forward with great expectation for what God will do during this weekend.

You are invited to join us on this weekend to participate in raw worship, encountering Jesus for who He is, being marked by His presence instead of listening to teachings all weekend that might only inspire you for a week or two. Moses was so intensely marked, that he had to cover his face before speaking to the Israelites. I want to be marked by God like that. For more information, contact me directly.

Feet on the Street: Testimony
While praying at the beginning of our last outreach, God showed me a very particular nose. As I walked through the crowd I thought of what a strange picture it was and that I didn’t know how I would find it. A few minutes later, I walked past a man with that exact nose! I was so excited that I didn’t even notice that he had a book in his hand. On approaching him I saw that he was busy reading a book that explained other belief systems.

I asked to see it and as I browsed through it, I realised how confusing it must be to this man. It almost looked exactly like a Christian book. I asked him if he thought that he would be able to tell the difference between when they prayed for him and when I prayed for him. So we prayed for him and he was so overcome by the Holy Spirit that he confessed he knew something was different.

He gave us that book in exchange for a bible and while listening to one of the regular guys’ testimony of how he was not using 15 bags of heroin per day anymore, but came down to only 2/3 bags since we started ministering to him, our new friend also wanted God to do that for him. So we prayed. In that prayer he confessed Jesus and accepted Jesus as his personal Saviour. I saw him again this week and he looks like a completely different man! Transformation is happening one person at a time.

Prayer points

  • Please pray with us for the Burn Worship weekend. We really have a lot to do and we are expecting God to meet us there in a major way.
  • Keep on praying for the impact that God is making in the city and for the various different organisations walking out their part in the Kingdom of God.
  • We are still working on a way to get the homeless guys, which has a variety of different skills, connected to the employment market. I have made some very good connections on this front. To get everything in order is a massive project and it will only be successful by the grace and favour of God.
  • We are trusting for financial breakthroughs so that we can put our guys through drug rehab (a 12 Month program). Adopt a “Junky” Giving back a Person
  • You can always pray for me.  I have plenty of needs, but I trust the Holy Spirit within you, to guide you to pray for me.
  • That we as Kingdom Culture would truly be hungry for the presence of God and would be willing to lay down our lives for Him, no matter what He asks
  • The fathers & mothers of our country to really encounter Jesus.
Thank you for your continued support, I really can’t do what I need to do, if people like you don’t pray and support me.

Delighted in Christ,
