The Bayou Startup Showcase is a celebration of entrepreneurship, the Houston startup community, and the university accelerator programs that support them. Jointly hosted by Rice University’s OwlSpark and the University of Houston’s RED Labs, the event showcases startups from Class 6.

Founders devoured lasagna while Kaz explained the importance of being a good negotiator. This is aimed to help reduce drug abuse and addiction, especially with young adults with early exposure.

TeamWise: NutriAction

Poised to cause ripples in the nutrition industry is NutriAction, comprised of three international students from China who are all rising sophomores and computer science majors at Rice University. NutriAction aims to provide a customized assistant tool for sports dietitians to help grow the profession and impact the health, safety and performance of more athletes by collecting and documenting useful data such as their calorie intake, current and goal weights, and injuries.
