Why Run This Sprint?
This Sprint came from a 9th grade student at Saint Mary's School in Raleigh, NC, one of our partner schools. 6 in 10 employers now do Google searches during the hiring process, according to a 2017 Career Builder study. We take the high road so that it helps us every step of the way. We only share what we wouldn't mind sharing at a national press conference.

School Of The Week
This week, we've been meeting with students and faculty at our first-ever partner school Ravenscroft in Raleigh, NC to test our newly upgraded curriculum for 9th-12th grade students. Everything we do is co-created with the experts: students!

Emoji Slider Poll
We've been seeing more and more students on Instagram use this "slider" feature  a new update that the platform released in May. It could lead to a lot of unnecessary drama, so huddle with your kid about the feature.

Use Your Mic For Good
We tell students that social media is the biggest microphone they will ever hold in their hand, and they can use it to spark change. Last week, Swedish student Elin Ersson did just that. She stopped the supposed deportation of an Afghan refugee by live-streaming her protest on the plane.

Finstas Are Never Private
18-yr-old Taylor Hamlin dreamed of winning Maine's prestigious Sea Goddess Crown. After she won, the crown was stripped because of old posts on her Finsta account. Supposedly, Hamlin posted the photos to her private Finsta account and deleted them prior to the competition. She didn't think they'd come back into play now.
