Start cleaning out your closets, toy chests and basements for our Toys, Games, Puzzles, Sports Equipment and Musical Instruments Swap!

Mark your calendars for the afternoon of Sunday, October 21 and stay tuned for the specific time and location.

All items must be complete (including all game and puzzle pieces) and in working condition.

Save the Date for a bake sale

The Silver Spring Timebank will hold its second annual fundraiser on Sunday, October 7 from 1:00-7:00pm as part of the Harvest Moon Festival sponsored by the Silver Spring Town Center, Inc. We'll be selling lots of delicious baked goods in downtown Silver Spring!

Members are needed to help with baking and staffing the table for a two hour slot. If you can help with either/both jobs, please contact US. We're happy to offer timebank hours in exchange for your service.

Skills Share and Repair Cafe slated for January, 2019

Plans are forming for our 3rd annual Skills Share, and this year, we'll combine it with another Repair Cafe. Requests for proposals for presenters, tablers and repairers will go out in October, so keep your eyes out for that!

Our next new SSTB member orientation will be on Wednesday, August 22 at 7pm. It will be held at the Catylator Makerspace located at 8121 Georgia Avenue, Suite LL1. There is on-street parking and a public garage nearby. Parking is free after 7pm.

We ask that everyone please RSVP so we know to expect you.

Q: I just joined the timebank and received my first monthly newsletter. It really gave me a feel for what it is like to be in the timebank. Can I read past newsletters, too?

Go to the Silver Spring Timebank website.
Click on the News and Events tab at the top of the page.
Then click on Email News.
You can View Past Emails (on the left side of the page) . The newsletters are organized chronologically.
