What we are Planning, Learning, and Doing

We had a great time last Sunday night spending time together at Pastor Dan's house. It was bittersweet saying goodbye to Randy, but the night was a fun time overall.  We are not meeting the next 3 Sunday evenings. There are many opportunities for our teens to serve and be together. Please make sure your teen can help at the work day on august 9th and of course help at the Hope for Western Wayne County event on the 11th. There is still plenty of time for your teen to recite Galatians 5 and take part in our trip to Mackinac. Finally, please make plans to join us on August 26th for our kick off night. Parents, I would like you to attend that night as well, we will have a parent meeting discussing upcoming events and the fall calendar.

  • Why Youth Group
  • Leader and Small Groups
  • Activity Schedule

  • Sunday Night Schedule
  • Texting & Weekly email group signups

In order to help the teens memorize God's word and view life through Bible lenses, I have given them this challenge with a very nice reward. The must memorize one chapter of scripture and if they can they will be eligible to go on a paid overnight trip to Mackinac Is. This is for both Middle and High School students.

  • Memorization Due: August 19th
  • Trip Date: August 22-23
  • The student must make a short statement on what was learned from the passage.
  • Trip will be mid-week in late August
  • Transportation, lodging, ferry to the island, bike rental will be Paid for.
  • The student will only have to provide food or money for meals.
Small Groups
Every teen in our youth group is assigned to a small group leader. These are our youth leaders who have exhibited spiritual maturity and the ability to help others. The groups meet each week after the lesson to discuss what we learned but also what is going on in the teen's daily lives. I would encourage the parents to take advantage of this relationship. Encourage your teens to talk with their leader and even create ways they can connect outside of Sunday nights. These leaders are advocating the same things you as a parent are fighting for: Prayer, Bible reading, and handling problems with a biblical perspective.  Below is a link to the current small group assignments.
