We're Headed Back!
 

Tomorrow (August 1st) we will be flying back to Nicaragua! We are excited to get back to Estelí to reconnect with our friends. We’ve been communicating with them continuously for the past couple of months, but it will be good to see them all face to face. Please pray for safety as we travel back and make our way North to Estelí.

As most of you already know, Nicaragua has been experiencing civil unrest in the past few months and is still in need of your prayers. We left the country the middle part of May to wait to see how things would go. There were road blockades all over the country limiting travel to and from the airport from our home in Estelí. But now, we are happy to report that the blockades have been removed and it is now possible to travel back to our home in Estelí.

It’s still a very tense environment in Nicaragua. We will need your prayers to navigate some new waters when it comes to ministry in a country under distress. But more than ever, Nicaraguans are searching for peace, and hope. During our absence, all of the other churches in our Avance Network have been continuing on with their ministries and seeing amazing results! Our Nicaraguan Pastors have been reporting to us that God is moving, people are being saved, and their churches are growing!

Pray that Jennifer and I will be able to locate a new property for our church plant in Estelí. Our first official service was supposed to be on August 5th. But, God knows why all this happened and His plan and timing is always better than ours. Please pray we can re-start the launch process and continue to see more come to Christ, be discipled, and become leaders.

Thank you all for your prayers and support during this weird season for us. We were able to report to 13 churches while on this unscheduled furlough and we thank each and every church for their love, interest in our ministry, support and prayers. 

Please continue to pray for the return of peace and reconciliation for Nicaragua. Prayer warriors like YOU really make a difference! We know we are headed into some potentially turbulent waters, but we also know Who can calm the storm! We also know the absolute safest place to be is in the center of God’s will. With your prayers and God’s protection, we head back to the people we love and are joyful about the partnership we have with YOU.
