Portugal updates, Birdfair and news from the Art Cabin...

Hello friends and customers, huge thanks as ever for your ongoing support, whether it was buying a card, print or ordering a lampshade! It all makes a fantastic difference and enables me to continue doing what I love and develop my work. I'm finally on my last commission, so thank you to Paula and Simon for your patience.... it had been impossible waxing during this heat wave, in fact my art cabin has been like a sauna....but now the cooler weather has started all I have to negotiate is the full on summer holidays....

We are now in August when I'll have a stand at the RSPB Rutland Birdfair 17-19th August and a month later have been selected to exhibit and will be demonstrating batik on the 9th and 16th September at the stunning part thatched All Saints' Church of Brockhampton in Herefordshire for this years h.Art week. During the week I will be spending 10th-15th September at Blue Ginger Gallery so do pop in and see me along with some amazing designer makers.

Our June holiday was a fantastic week with the most amazing group
of inspiring warm and easygoing aspiring batikers

The October week is fully booked and I'm excited to now have dates for 2019 where I'll be running my June course alongside a group of printmakers led by best friend Lucy Gell, we might even develop the week to incorporate both mediums depending on what our customers want!

The dates are June 8th - 15th 2019 numbers limited to 7. Please contact me if you need any more information and to book a place.

Workshops

Along with the popular batik days, I'm also offering printmaking day workshops in the Art cabin. Here are a few images of last weeks batik day, please look at my website workshops area if you fancy coming along or treating a friend to a creative day out. This Autumn I'll be teaching you different printing techniques such as Lino, screen and mono printing so you can hand print your own tea towels, bags and Christmas cards.

Workshops run from 10am till 4-15pm usually on a Friday but if you have a few people you'd like to invite I can arrange a specific day to suit you. New dates are being added all the time. Dates I have at the moment include Batik, mono printing and lino printing workshops cost £75 each including materials and are limited to 5 places. Screen printing costs £90 and is limited to 3 places.

Friday 9th Nov - Screen printing bag/tea towels
