Two Years Ago...

As August takes it's turn on the calendar, we see that the Grass is returning to Mt Baldy and the Jerry Daze festival.  This was our first gig with the new line-up with Rich and Chris and we debuted a new vibe up on the mountain top.  Around the same time Antoine Arvizu, who recorded and co-produced our second album at the Compound Studio in Long Beach, called me up saying he had a deal we wouldn't want to pass up.  We didn't, and the Greener sessions began by the beginning of the following September.  Antoine is a special person and a joy to work with, he is one of those fabled story tellers who has a million of em and can keep you captivated with each.  I think we are all ready to get back in and start working on some more recording or at least it's being discussed, tossed about and such.  If we do record, it wouldn't necessarily be with Antoine.  But it would be hard to not want to try it again after how good Greener sounds.  It's the first album I'm truly satisfied with...  What do you think?  Is it time for us to get to work on a fourth official album?  Do we return to the Compound because third time is the charm?  Do we do something completely different? Come out to the John & Rich birthday show and tell us what you think, or ride the lift to the Notch and shout it from the mountain tops.  Or email me at jmalsberger@gmail.com .  Hope you all have a great rest of your summer!

It's gonna get groovy on the mountain top!  Come up for a higher perspective, camping available, or just the cost of the lift to the top!
Get your birthday singing voices ready as we celebrate the solar returns of both Johnny Mals & Richie Skins of the Grass as well as many others.  There are so many folks we know born between Aug 17-23rd it's nuts.  Come out and share in an awesome night of music, good friends, and King Neptunes!
Here's a clip from our set in Silverado Canyon.  Such a beautiful place to play, we loved it.  We got Teddy T and George Bernardo from Hempstring jamming away with us, so much fun!
