Helen Taylor is an 11 year veteran of the Wylie Police Department, a member of the Crisis Negotiations team, and a certified police instructor. She has worked in the the patrol and crimes against children divisions and, in fact, received the Children’s Advocate of the Year Award for 2017.

Achieving Catharsis

August Bloc Buster Writing Challenge
Deadline: Wednesday, August 15th, midnight
Granbury Writers’ Bloc presents: August edition of Bloc Buster Challenge
This month’s challenge is to write a short story in less than 1500 words that uses the phrase, “This wasn’t the first time (blank) was trapped (in, on, under, inside, etc.) a (blank)…” anywhere in the story (fill in the blanks to suit). Submit your story and receive detailed scores and comments from three professional judges, plus a chance at a cash prize!
