Dear <<First Name>>

We hope you are well and that a month of being baked and then soaked hasn’t affected your creativity!

Hello to all of our new subscribers too and we hope you will find our monthly newsletter useful.   Please do connect with us on social media, we love hearing what everyone has been creating.

We have had a very crafty month with lots of interaction with our fellow crafters via social media, workshops and Hochanda TV and we hope you enjoy another round up of crafting offers and news…
Freebie of the Month
Did you know that there are some Facebook pages dedicated to free patterns and tutorials?

Here are two that we hope you will enjoy as much as we do:
Only Free Crochet Patterns and All Free Sewing

Our offer of the Month
Have you seen our new bear making pattern, Lyric bear (designed by the very talented Emma from Emma’s Bears)?  The pattern offers you 3 variations of the adorable Lyric bear who stands an impressive 40cm (16”) tall.
Throughout August we are offering our newsletter subscribers the opportunity to purchase the Lyric pattern (& any of the other Amazing Craft kits and patterns) at a 30% discount.  The patterns usually retail at £6.99 each you will be able to purchase them for only £4.89 each by entering the voucher code Pattern30 at the checkout.
Product of the Month
We have a fab new 100% cotton fabric on the website that is perfect for making rag dolls.  It is made by Moda and is a subtle pale skin colour.  It is very similar to Tilda Doll Skin fabric (which is currently out of production) and we hope to stock it in more shades soon.  It is a good price too at only £8 per metre (or £2.20 per fat quarter)

Make of the Month
As always, thank you so much to everyone who entered our Make of the Month competition, we love seeing what you create!  This month’s winner is Natalie’s mouse (made from the Amazing Craft Jackson Mouse pattern).  Well done Natalie, your £5 web voucher is on its way.
If you fancy entering our competition, simply email or Facebook us a photo of your finished creation.
We might see you there...
Our next show is at the NEC for The Festival of Quilts from 9th – 12th August.  It is our first time exhibiting at this show and we are thoroughly looking forward to being there.  You can see full details and ticket information here.

From 27-30 September we will be at The Creative Craft Show at Westpoint, Exeter and we will have a competition for tickets on the website very shortly!

Tip of the month

When making a head of a toy, we are usually told to start by sewing the head sides together, from the tip of the nose down to the bottom of the neck and then insert the head gusset.  If you have trouble inserting the head gusset centrally, try changing the order of what you sew first!  Try sewing the head gusset to one head side, from the tip of the nose to the back of the neck first.  Then repeat from the tip of the nose to the back of the neck on the other head side.  Finally, sew from the tip of the nose to the bottom of the neck.

We have found this works well and helps to get the head gusset central!

We are always love to see what you are creating, so, please do share with us what you make via email or our Social Media Channels.

Happy crafting and kind regards

Becky
