Another $5 Million Saved!

We did it again!  School districts across the state saved $5 million over using commercial alternatives for professional trainings and other online learning services.  And, the savings are just beginning, as many districts are exploring how to use our new Personalized Learning System for students and create District Trainings for their staff.

Interested in how much you saved?  You can access your district's savings in a handy 1-page report at http://bit.ly/profileofsavings.  Many districts have given feedback that this form is great to share with school boards and other stakeholders.

Day with a Developer

Speaking of helping you save money, we are offering a new service for districts.  AEA Learning Online has instructional designers who will come to your district and collaborate with staff to create district trainings! Take advantage of their expertise and save time and resources!

After one “Day with a Designer,” your staff will know how to:

  • Assign trainings to staff
  • “Favorite” statewide trainings to create a playlist for your staff
  • Insert customized, district-specific content into statewide trainings
  • Create a training by simply uploading or linking to a file
  • Create a full-featured training with interactions, quizzes and other features

At the end of the day, your district will have completed trainings ready for your staff to take, as well as the skills to create additional trainings in the future.

“The instructional designers from AEA Learning Online had infinite patience in helping me understand what I was being asked to do.”

~ Lynn McCartney, Heartland AEA Instructional Designer

“We had an opportunity to support staff with their efforts to increase their professional knowledge around digital citizenship. Every licensed teacher staff member in the district completed the digital citizenship course online at no cost to them. We've had great feedback from the staff and they're feeling like they were not only equipped themselves but they were equipped to be able to have those conversations with students.”

~ Mary Breyfogle, Elementary School Principal, Panorama Community School District

Correction: Level 1 Investigator

On our last announcement, we mentioned the required trainings for teachers in the state, as well as how often they need to be renewed.  We have a correction with the Level 1 Investigator training.

The training must be taken upon initial appointment as a level 1 investigator, and then is good for 5 years.  It is recommended to take the training annually, but not required to do so.
