The WorldSkills Conference 2018: Uniting for Youth: Building networks for innovative skills solutions will showcase innovative ways to inspire young people to pursue skills.
In Amsterdam on 15 – 16 October 2018, Conference and General Assembly participants will take part in three distinct tracks – Inspire, Develop, and Influence – where you will hear from experts using innovation and networks to solve skills challenges.
In September the Conference App will also be available with more information on each topic, and the option to reserve your spot in the ‘pick and mix programme’. Then you will be able to reserve the workshop, in-depth session or business visit of your choice in advance. Some meetings have limited access and will be available on a first come first serve basis.

As part of the Global Village at the WorldSkills Conference, In Depth sessions consisting of small working groups of up to 12 persons will take place.
During the In Depth sessions you will work on topics, questionnaires, learn from experts and each other, get inspiration and develop together ideas and solutions which can develop your own organization or country.

Explore the global and national challenges of disruptive technologies and how they impact our societies. This workshop will lead you through different scenarios and guide you towards innovative solutions to prepare (T)VET systems and industry for them.
What to expect
"Martijn is a stand-up philosopher, boardroom sparring partner and co-author of the bestsellers Easycratie (Easycracy) and Nooit Af (The Permanent Beta Principle). He built the largest dolmen in the world, cofounded Lifehacking.nl and Permanent Beta ('bridging brains, tech and culture'). Both on stage and in his publications he passionately maps technology's complex impact on society."

Where’s the best spot to experience Amsterdam’s real sense of humour, atmosphere, and culture? That would be the Albert Cuyp! With 260 stands, the Albert Cuyp is the largest day market in Europe. A place where there’s always something new to see.
The Albert Cuyp market can be found in the centre of the 19th century quarter De Pijp: the Latin Quarter of Amsterdam. It is located just steps from the Heineken Experience and is a 10-minute walk from the Rijksmuseum.
