Kelly is back from the USA | 2018 Aerospace Industry Education Awards are now open
June/July update
Welcome back to everyone! Another term has started. Where is this year going? In June we said farewell to Kylie as she moved on to a new adventure and of course I have returned from maternity leave. (It is nice to be back in the world of adult conversations) School holidays saw some awesome work experience opportunities for some of our Aerospace Students. Here are some highlights from June & July:
* Ms. Kelly Breen has returned from her Professional Development trip to the USA, which included a visit to Boeing in Seattle, Virgin Galactic and Space Camp in Alabama. (Photos below)
*Aerospace students from Townsville SHS undertook an amazing work experience opportunity assisting Townsville Helicopters during the VIP helicopter transfers at the Townsville 400! (How cool!) (photo above)
* Burpengary State Secondary School Aerospace students toured the Qantas Hangar 3
* Students from Indooroopilly SHS undertook work experience opportunities over the school holidays with Airbus and Air New Zealand (photo below)
* 2018 Aerospace Industry Education Awards criteria have been released (more information below)
* The AGISP Steering Committee met to discuss plans for the next six to 12 months.
* Check out the list of events (What's coming up)!
Don't forget to keep sending in those photos and updates from your adventures and to 'like' the AGISP Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages for more regular updates.
If you have anything you would like included in the monthly e-newsletters, please email me all the information and photos to info@aerospacegatewayschools.com.au.
Warmest regards
Jennifer
