July's RPG Roundup

July was a fun month. Here's what we released and got up to at the gaming table.

News Flash: I'll be chatting to the folks from AetherCon tonight. Be sure to tune in and hear about our latest projects.

How to Plan a Murder

How to Plan a Murder is your guide to hosting deliciously intriguing murder mystery dinner games. The rules are intuitive and easy to pick up, both for you as the Director and for your players.

Having played other over-the-counter murder mystery games, I've always felt that a roleplayer could build an infinitely better game for the genre. Chris Visser, the game's designer, has years of GMing and LARPing experience, which includes running LARPs at conventions and on his own. All that shows up in the game's rules and advice to Directors.

How to Plan a Murder features an intuitive system for building conflict into your events, with intrigue growing naturally from the connections established between characters. Find out more and where to get the book on the blog.

Stranger Things Season 3 Episode 5

Our fifth session playing Stranger Things, Season 3, saw a team of spec-ops heading into the Upside Down to rescue Hopper and the boys. Read all about it on the blog.

Looking Back, Looking Forward

Looking back at old work is a great way to see how far you've come. It's also good for realizing that, however bad things might seem, good things are around the corner for those who stick with it.
Read it on the blog.

Loot the RPG Internet!

Here's the best stuff we found while surfing the RPG net.

Fred Hicks talks about how he got into the RPG industry. An insightful read for those of you interested in working in game design.

Hero Forge is a great online app for making custom, 3D printable miniatures. There's a wide range of options, so be ready to lose a few hours just messing around with the thing. So much fun!

Till next time, Tell Thrilling Tales.
