ABSA STRENGTHENS DUT PARTNERSHIP WITH R1.6 MILLION SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING
With the aim of providing a bright future to South African youth, Absa Bank has donated R1.6 million in scholarships to help fund the Durban University of Technology (DUT) students.
Speaking during the cheque handover ceremony at the DUT Hotel School Conference Centre, Absa Provincial Managing Executive in KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga, Ronnie Mbatsane said it is through education that youth can realise their potential.
The Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Durban University of Technology, Professor Nokuthula Sibiya, will deliver her Inaugural Lecture at the Mansfield Hall, on Wednesday, 8 August 2018.
Prof Sibiya’s Inaugural Lecture is titled: ‘Transforming the education and training of the health professionals to strengthen the health system in the 21st century: Have we made progress?’
CAMPUS TECH TOUR PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH INFORMATION ON DUT ONLINE SYSTEMS
The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at the Durban University of Technology (DUT), partnered with the First-Year Student Experience (FYSE) programme and GoMobile to host a Campus-to-Campus Technology Tour.
The aim of the tour was to create awareness of the DUT online systems to students.
The Centre for Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) continues to strive and to provide lifelong learning opportunities at the Durban University of Technology (DUT).
CCPE is proud to announce eight new short courses to the DUT community and its external stakeholders.
CCPE which operates as an outward-focused dynamic interface between the DUT and its external context, centrally manages and coordinates the University’s continuing education courses.

DUT GERMAN EXCHANGE STUDENTS READY TO START THE SEMESTER AT DUT
The Durban University of Technology, Department of International Education and Partnerships (IEP) hosted a successful Orientation Day for German Exchange students.
The event recently took place at the Steve Biko Art Gallery where students were informed about various facilities that are available to them, to further make their stay at DUT pleasant.
