~just a quick note~
(you will receive one each day this week)
The Sonic Team Photo (which is used for PR the rest of this season) will be taken at 7:10. Please find your way to the photo staging area, (2 sets of bleachers) and be in place by then. We have about 3 minutes reserved-so drop what you are doing and c'mon over. This is your chance to prove you were part of Sonic History! This area is near the starting line, and will be very easy to find.
I was told the mass start will begin at 7:30. We are lined up according to fundraising the year prior- so while we will be near the front, we won't actually BE the front! (make a concentrated effort today to ask 3 new sponsors for a donation-next year I'd like to see Sonic back where we belong-leading the masses!) You'll see the sign with the Sonic logo-line up right there!
Today you should receive a confirmation email from UW Whitewater in regards to your dorm assignment. If you're a 'walk on', or very late registrant, you can easily still get a room once cross the finish line on Saturday. We will have our own team golf cart, and returning for her 2nd year, driver extraordinaire Jill Bradley. She can get you to where you need to be.
Today's tip-rinse your helmet. Odds are, the padding is full of sweat from all your training rides up to this weekend. It's going to be a hot weekend-and you don't want salt dripping into your eyes. Thanks for this tip, Ken Barth! (next year, Bob and Wendy Aspinwall are working on a customized team sweat band from Halo!)
I will have a few team jerseys at Bike Drop, as well as some REALLY spiffy Bike MS Packer jerseys, custom designed by Sonic's own Steve Pyfferoen! $50 will land you either one.
Until tomorrow- Christin

MORE Tips for MS 150
~Run a copy of your DL and Insurance cards (both sides) and keep in your Camel Bak or seat pack. (Or get a Road ID, which is a much better option!)
~Don’t buy new bike clothes the night before-wear any new stuff at least 1 week prior.
~No adjustments on your bike a week prior either!
