BACKGROUND:

Thanks to the success of the Pi Workshop program, the Potential Enhancement Foundation (PEF), Powering Potential’s Tanzanian partner, will be presenting at the Scratch@MIT Conference in Cambridge, MA from July 26-28, 2018.

Unfortunately, Albin Mathias will not be at the event on July 31 but Simon will be there to tell us about his presentation at M.I.T. and how they use Scratch to teach computer technology fundamentals to Tanzanian students and teachers.

Scratch is a visual programming language that allows young people to animate their imaginations and share their creations with the world.

WE DID IT! YOU HELPED US RAISE THE ENTIRE $23,500 TO BEGIN INSTALLATION OF A SPARC+ LAB AT THE ENDALLAH SECONDARY SCHOOL!!

Installation will begin next month. More than 470 students will benefit from the upgraded computer lab (from 5 to 20 Pi computers), an expanded solar energy system, an updated offline digital library (RACHEL), Scratch and other applications.
