Major flooding in Kenya this year have displaced more than 48,000 families as homes, latrines, roads, schools, and businesses are rendered unusable due to high water. Many government, NGO, and missionary organizations have joined hands in the efforts to bring back normality to the Kenyan people.
Burning Plow Ministries has also joined the efforts by giving some small help where we can. One of the areas where we helped was along the Athi River where many homes were washed away.
Shadrack is pointing out the high water mark in a severely damaged building on the banks of the Athi River.
In this photo, Shadrack and Jean David are examining some of the destroyed buildings. The Athi River is just ahead.
In June this year, we distributed much needed food and soap to these folks that were hit hard by the flooding. Later, we returned with school supplies for the children.
Along with the food, we shared some heavenly bread, the good news of Jesus Christ, and many new believers were added on that day.
Thank you to all our partners for your prayers and financial support.
