I hope you are enjoying all the updates from new and returning families. Here's a big shout out to all the families that have sent in what they are up to this summer.

RESTORED ORDER POINTS OF CLARIFICATION
- Sacraments are received through parishes (St. Pats is not a parish).
- Confirmation prep is a short supplement that takes place within our religion curriculum - it is not, by any means, the focus of the year.
- Fr. Gary, pastor of Immaculate Conception, whom we work closely with, accepts the instruction that St. Pat's offers. However, he and other priests have an 'immediate prep' for reception of the sacraments of penance (Spring of grade 2) and then First Communion/Confirmation in grade 3. Parishioners must contact their priests for the Sacraments.
- St. Pat's does not obligate students to receive Sacraments. Our non-Catholic kids receive instruction in the Faith, but not the Sacraments themselves.

- Our Auction is called The Rising of the Moon. To the 80 new students and their families in our charge: this video will bring you up to speed!
- Happy to announce that our 2nd Rising of the Moon will be chaired by Mrs. Jennifer Marin.
- Please volunteer! Thursday, August 9th at 9am is our first Auction Committee Meeting. Email her if you can make it!

BOX TOPS AT BJ'S
INCREDIBLE STEM OPPORTUNITY
In the next four weeks, we will release our one-of-a-kind STEM Enrichment Initiative for Grades 3-8. Students will continue with these two sessions:
- Session 3: Stop Motion Animation
Students will learn the art of storyboarding, sound effects, and stop motion animation. They will then use their new skills to create short animations using different mediums.
- Session 4: Engineering Challenges
Students will be given a variety of different building challenges to complete. Each activity will emphasize the use of the Engineering Design Process and encourage the use of a growth mindset.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
As a reminder, our new uniform is required for all students next year.
