In August, Dan will officially begin his new role as Every Nation Campus Director at St. Edwards University in Austin. In our last month before this transition, we have been reflecting and celebrating all that God has done over the past decade in San Marcos!

Celebrating the last decade!

When we began as students at Texas State University in 2008, we were both in a difficult place in our lives. Yet, soon after arriving, some bold students interrupted us on campus and invited us to an ENC Bible study. It was small and racially diverse, and it pointed us to Jesus every week. The leader of the study encouraged us daily with the phrase "each one, reach one," and soon, all of us started inviting others, just as we were invited.
That Bible study grew from 10 people to 20, to 50, to 100, to 150. Eventually, it transformed into a weekly church, and from there, we've seen hundreds of college students reached with the gospel. These students have gone on to be baptized and lead their roommates, professors, and families to Christ. Fifteen of us have gone on to pursue full-time ministry, with new interns every year! It has been nothing short of miraculous.
Three years ago, Dan left his pursuit of physical therapy and I left my position as a kindergarten teacher so that we could commit ourselves to reaching the next generation full-time. Since then, we have been overjoyed to work as campus missionaries and missions trip leaders in San Marcos (alongside an amazing team!). In this past year, 27 students have been baptized, 9 student-led Bible studies have taken place weekly, 30 students have gone through our Biblical Foundations course, and I have led three missions trips abroad, totaling 188 students. Some of our weekly meetings have been standing-room-only, and our home has been a revolving door for cook-outs, movie nights, deep conversations, midnight pancakes, and seeing students transformed by the love of Christ. <<First Name>>, thank you for being a part of every conversation, every prayer, and every cup of free coffee we've given out on campus. Because of your partnership, we have been able to give our lives to sharing the gospel with the next generation. We are amazed as we look back at our time in San Marcos, and we eagerly anticipate all God will do as we look forward to our time in Austin.
