Record Numbers So Far!
For the first time, we've delivered more than 25,000 items in the first half of the year. Below are the numbers for the first half of 2018. Our Christmas bags always make the second half number higher than first half, so it is almost certain we will exceed 50,000 items delivered in 2018!
These numbers include 1,964 quilts, 6,813 receiving blankets and 4,393 hats. That's a lot of beautiful work from our volunteers and satellite groups.

North Texas Giving Day
Thursday, September 20th is this year's North Texas Giving Day. There will be additional days to schedule giving this year and some other changes that should help us make this our best year yet.
All four programs rely on the funds raised at this event, so please take any opportunity to let friends and family know that we participate. Once giving is open, they can search either Love Thy Neighbor or Love Thy Baby to find us on the NTGD website.

Workspace Needed
We are still looking for a work area to store the yardage used for quilt backs. A classroom or office 10'x20' or larger is needed. It would also be used for a few hours each week to cut backs and match backs with tops. If you know of a possible location, let Gloria know.

Annual Convention
This year's TPHCCA convention is September 13-16th in Houston. This is an annual fundraising opportunity for Love Thy Baby. We've been gathering items for the silent auction, but could use a few more.
We're partnering with the St. Phillip Stitchers, a Houston based group that makes blankets for children in need. They will provide some items and help out on the Friday, but we still need a volunteer or two willing to travel to Houston for this event.
