The Good Ole Summertime!
Dear Friend,
Well, it is strange given the internet and our worldwide following that some of our readers are experiencing winter weather but here in the Smokies, it's still summertime. Fortunately, the oppressive heat and humidity seem to have abated and we've been enjoying more fun in the river tubing, swimming, and snorkeling. We have also been relaxing in our kayaks and riding around Townsend on our bikes. It's our 1-2 hour daily escape from the studio (which really we've been enjoying lately) and the grind of the office work. Just this week, Wes spent a couple days at the computer downloading and organizing over 45,000 files for the Society of Animal Artists! Hopefully, it will soon be as organized and easy to maintain as our own business. Despite these tasks, Wes is also finding time to paint although not quite as much as Rachelle lately.
Here are some of our latest works off our easels:
"Basking Behemoths" by Rachelle, 3.5 x 5.5 inches (for SEWE)
"Admiring Bastien-Lepage's 'The Wood Gatherer' " by Rachelle, 2.5 x 3.5 inches
"Southern Sentinel" by Wes, 3.5 x 5.5 inches (For SEWE)
Thank you to everyone who took advantage of our Special Offer! We hope to see you all at one of our upcoming shows!
