Establishing Children in Local Churches

The  threefold mission of CEF is to evangelize boys and girls, disciple them in the Word of God and establish them in local churches. One of the church-sponsored Good News Clubs has had a few children join them for Wednesday night youth activities and one sibling group has become even more involved.
Thomas and Rebecca started coming to club when they were in first and second grades and are now in high school. Over the years they have been in the children's Christmas program, came to church and Sunday School, and went to church camp.
This summer was the fourth year for church camp for Thomas and Rebecca. This year they brought their younger sister and their older sister came to camp when she was in high school.

It's been a blessing to see God work in their lives over the years. What they have learned about God's love, His promises and His faithfulness has helped them through difficult circumstances in their young lives. Witnessing their trust in Him is a witness to us.

I'd Like to Start a Good News Club with My Church. Now What?
It's probably much easier than you think because CEF does the "heavy lifting."
We will talk to your church leadership and volunteers to tell them about Good News Clubs and answer questions. We contact the school, provide liability insurance, train volunteers, conduct background checks and provide mentoring and support.
Prayer and a team of four or more volunteers are the basics to get started. Please call us at (513) 456-1675 to talk about starting a Good News Club.

I'd Like to Start a Good News Club with Friends. Now What?
We all know people with a heart for children and desire to tell them the Good News of Jesus Christ. The process is similar to that described above. We'll meet with you and your friends to introduce and explain this outreach ministry and do the heavy lifting.
Did You Know?
Children are more receptive to the gospel than adults. Research demonstrates this time and time again.

Club Volunteers - Mark You Calendars!

Anyone who volunteers in a Good News Club won't want to miss our training on Saturday, September 15, by Mike Worley. Mike is the Local Director of the Northern Kentucky CEF Chapter and is coming across the river to train us and kick off the new school year. This training is for both new and returning volunteers.
Stay tuned for more information about the schedule, location and opportunity to receive free curriculum materials for those attending.
Mike first became involved in CEF as a volunteer in his grandchildren's Good News Club in Aurora, IN. Having seen its Christ-centered curriculum and effectiveness in evangelizing and discipling children, he quickly became involved in the local committee and served as the committee chairperson. Mike is has been in northern KY for four years.
