Visit to The Stop

Photo: Learning about community gardens
Thank you to The Stop Community Food Centre for inviting PPR to visit the Green Barn at Artscape Wychwood Barns. We explored the community gardens, the greenhouse, compost demonstration centre, and Global Roots Garden. The Stop brings people together around healthy food, providing opportunities to make friends, build skills, combat social isolation, and advocate for change.

We were honoured to visit Mashkikii;aki’ing (Medicine Earth) Medicine Wheel Garden, a partnership between The Stop and the Sagatay program at Na-Me-Res (Native Men’s Residence) that provides an opportunity to share teachings and learn more about plant medicine, gardening, and healthy living.
