Matthias Wehner and remote control productions launch digital marketing agency

Munich, August 16th, 2018 - rcp continues to expand its business fields and, together with industry veteran Matthias Wehner launch attract mode, a boutique digital marketing agency focused on the video games industry. With Matthias Wehner as Managing Director of attract mode, rcp combines its own experience of over 13 years of working with development studios and Wehner’s international marketing know how.

With a track record of more than 20 years in the games industry and after a decade with 2K in the US, Matthias Wehner returns to Germany to join rcp and spearhead attract mode. "While working in the San Francisco Bay area, I experienced the rapid evolution in digital marketing at the forefront and applied the learnings directly to my marketing management," so Wehner. "Now I am excited to transfer this expertise to attract mode and build an agency which will take a community-driven marketing approach to deliver outstanding performance for our clients.”

Matthias led the marketing at Take-Two Interactive in Munich for several years and, among
others, managed the titles of Rockstar Games. In 2005 he moved to London to become International Marketing Director and establish the international marketing team of the newly founded label 2K Games. In 2007, he was promoted to Vice President International Marketing and moved to the corporate headquarters of 2K at Novato near San Francisco. From there, he oversaw the international 2K marketing teams in major European and Asian markets working on franchises like BioShock, Borderlands, Mafia, Sid Meier’s Civilization, XCOM, NBA 2K and others.
