QM top of the Toppers at NSSA
The QMSC Youth Squad arrived at Datchet Water Sailing Club for the National Schools Sailing Association Regatta ready to have a fun week of sailing, little did they know that we would come away triumphant. all our sailors did exceedingly well with our greatest achievements in the Topper fleet were we came away with 7 of the top 11 places much to the frustration of other teams.

QMSC host in 2018 - Calling all Youth Sailors
The RYA have changed the name of the Zone Championships to try to truly reflect the nature of the event to British Youth Sailing Regional Junior Championships. At this event we will be running three fleets, Championship Fleet, Coached Regatta Fleet and Fun OnBoard Fleet.

Queen Mary SC Classes
  • Optimist
  • Topper
  • Windsurfers (4.5,5.8,6.8,7.8)
  • RS Feva XL
  • RS Tera (Sport Rig)
  • Regatta Fleet and OnBoard Fleet

The event as a whole is a festival for all junior sailors who are learning to sail in club boats, through to squad sailors in Recognised Junior Classes. With the three different fleets there should be something for your level of sailing. Along with prizes for event winners, there will be a range of prizes for sailors exhibiting the British Youth Sailing Values and Behaviours and showing a passion for the sport. There is also the Club Trophy for the club that has the most entries at the event.

As usual it will be held over the last weekend in September, 29th 30th at venues around the country.

It's been an incredible year! We've had nearly 500 youngsters (so far) out enjoying the activities on-water on our Junior Courses... learning to sail, to windsurf and having water-based fun!

Just two weeks to go and a few places left on 5 day courses starting 20th August and 3 day courses starting 29th August.

Good to see our waterstations being so well used!

We're taking a long time to fill our plastic bottle cage - which means you must be doing the right thing and refilling, instead of single-use plastic bottles!  Keep up the great work!
