Mass Times for the Holy Day of Obligation (Opportunity!) are: Vigil Mass on Tuesday, 8/14 at 5:15PM; Feast Day Masses on Wednesday, 8/15 at 12:10PM and 5:15PM
We can use some extra hands to help us set up for the Welcome BBQ on Sunday, 8/19. Please meet at the Newman Lawn at 2PM if you can give us an hour (or two) of your time.
Ministry Fairs
How can I get more involved in my faith community? Look no further than our Ministry Fairs to find some opportunities to do just that! We will have tables after all the Masses on August 18-19 and August 25-26 so start praying about different ways you may feel called to serve.
Freshmen Orientations & Parish Registration
Incoming Freshmen to the UofA - look for the Newman Center table in the Grand Ballroom at the Student Union during your orientation! Register with us online to get linked up with our various programs and ministries at www.uacatholic.org/registration
Young Adult/Graduate Student Group
The Young Adult Group meets on Thursdays at 7:30PM downstairs in the Student Lounge - all young professionals and graduate students are invited to drop in! Each week the topic rotates with a different core team taking the lead: Service Outreach, Team Spirit, Growth & Faith and Community Life.
August 16th: Heretics Letters - reflections from young adults are submitted on a wide variety of topics followed by a discussion on its heresy and/or orthodoxy
August 23rd: Ice Cream Social with a special invitation to new grad students & young professionals
August 30th: Core Team Meeting to plan for September and the rest of the Fall Semester
September 6th: Instructional Mass with Fr. Emmanuel - he will explain the different parts of the Mass
Saturday Vigil Mass: 5:15PM Sunday Masses: 9AM, 11AM & 5PM (the 7PM Mass resumes on August 26th)
Mondays: Daily Mass, Morning & Evening Prayer resumes on September 10th Tuesday-Friday: Morning Prayer at 8:30AM, Evening Prayer at 5:00PM, Daily Mass at 5:15PM
Reconciliation: Saturday 4-5PM; Sundays 4-4:45PM or by appointment with a priest.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: 9PM on Wednesdays starting on August 29th
