Creativiteit is het Werkelijke Kapitaal

13 - 19 augustus

- Zaterdag 18 augustus 14 uur SHELLEY SACKS (1950), Sociale Sculptuur kunstenaar en performance kunstenaar, leraar, schrijver en denker. Ze onderzoekt de relatie tussen verbeelding en transformatie, tussen innerlijk werk en uiterlijke actie en de paradigma verandering in praktijk. Zoals haar leraar Joseph Beuys, met wie ze 12 jaar heeft samengewerkt, ziet ze ‘Ieder mens een kunstenaar’ als dé manier om een humane, ecologische maatschappij te realiseren. Ze beschouwt haar lang durende projecten EXCHANGE VALUES, UNIVERSITY OF THE TREES en EARTH FORUM als Instrumenten van Bewustzijn om onze relatie met de wereld bij te stellen.

- Zondag 19 augustus 14 uur CEES HIEP speelt zijn piano solo ‘Alles Blau’.

- Zondag 19 augustus 15 uur SHELLEY SACKS spreekt verder over Creativiteit=Kapitaal. In 1977 tijdens de Documenta in Kassel was Shelley Sacks 100 dagen aanwezig bij de intesieve 100 dagen gesprekken van Beuys en werd uitgedaagd manieren te vinden om ‘samen te denken’ vooral om uit te vinden wat Beuys bedoelde met ‘thinking is already sculpture’.

Joseph Beuys spreekt in Japan in 1984:
“Wij zouden ons moeten verplichten op het moment dat zich een weg opent de regelgeving voor bedrijven, dat betekent, voor de menselijke creativiteit op de werkplek, zo vorm te geven dat duidelijk wordt dat het kapitaalbegrip, dus het geldbegrip, niet meer klopt, omdat kapitaal niets met geld te maken heeft. Geld is dus helemaal niet in monetaire definities te vangen, maar dat enkel en alleen de creativiteit van mensen, hun vindingrijke geest in de arbeid, ‘het kapitaal’ genoemd zou moeten worden,” zei Joseph Beuys in 1984 in Japan.

- Saturday 18 August 2 pm SHELLEY SACKS, Professor Social Sculpture and Interdisciplinary Practices at Oxford Brookes University, UK, Director of the Social Sculpture Research Unit and initiator of the Earth Forum, Graduate supervisor and programm leader of Masters in Social Sculpture and Connective Practices tells how with our own creativity we can build our society as a Social Sculpture. Shelley Sacks, born in South Africa, is a social sculpture practitioner, cultural activist, performance artist, teacher, author and thinker exploring the relationship between imagination and transformation, inner work and outer action, and paradigm shift in practice.

- Sunday 19 August 2 pm CEES HIEP plays his piano solo ‘Alles Blau’.
