Our crews spent a week cleaning up a variety of beaches.
Allan, a newer paddler, wrote a small article highlighting his experiences on his first coastal cleanup. He also produced a short video of his trip. Our association works generally in two locations per year to assist with the huge problem assaulting our oceans and beaches with plastics and debris. Our expenses are generally covered by grants (limited), Crowdfunders (please help; we are short of funds) and by the BCMT. We still need help with two more cleanups: Crabapple Islets and Gerald Island. Special thanks to Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation for covering costs of helicopter and some tool purchases.
