A hybrid 30-min documentary "A Brave Bunch" directed by Tomasz Stankiewicz tells a story of a heroic and tragic 63-day battle to liberate Warsaw from Nazi German occupation during World War II from a perspective of children. The film is based on a book of the same title by Monika Kowaleczko-Szumowska, inspired by accounts of participants and witnesses of the Warsaw Uprising who were children during the war. On screen, they are accompanied by contemporary children, whose imagination, stirred by the stories of the Uprising participants, carries them back to 1944.
