New FREE lost cat resource!

G2Z and AIAM - Australian Institute of Animal Management Inc. are pleased to deliver  a brochure, in partnership, for cat owners, detailing everything they need to know about how to find their cat if it goes missing.

We know that most of our cat intake is those that are found wandering and that the majority of them don't make it back to their original home. The reasons why have a lot to do with human and cat psychology and there has been a lot of work done over the past few years on working out what actually happens in these cases.

This resource is perfect for front desks at council and not for profit shelters, adoption packs, vet clinics and we encourage you to share it widely. It's a great education resource for all of your staff and volunteers too!

The brochure is available from our website for you to download here: https://www.g2z.org.au/lost-pets.html

Keep an eye out for a full suite of information resources coming your way soon!

New research from NZ on TNR

Recently a new article was published covering the results of an NZ TNR program on intake to animal shelters.

"The number of incoming stray felines, underage euthanasias, and unsocialised adult stray cat
euthanasias all reduced considerably for the suburb targeted by the TTNR pilot (Manurewa) after the programme. These changes were significantly greater than the corresponding averages for the non-targeted suburb group.

This pilot programme suggests that TTNR could be a useful and positive cat management tool in urban New Zealand"
