Gleaning alert!
Volunteers needed!

Howdy volunteers!  We are looking for gleaners to join us for upcoming harvests for donation:

Monday, August 13th 8:30am - Durham (tomatoes)
Monday, August 13th 11:30am - South Hampton (vegetables)
Friday, August 17th 10am - Lee (tomatoes/cucumbers/corn)
Monday, August 20th 9am - South Hampton (vegetables)
Friday, August 24th 10am - Lee (tomatoes/cucumbers/corn)
Monday, August 27th 9am - South Hampton (vegetables)

We need 2-4 volunteers (youngsters welcome, but these gleans are not for children under age 8) to help us harvest vegetables to be donated to Gather Food Pantry in Portsmouth and/or Cornucopia Food Pantry in Durham.  We will also have lesser amounts going to smaller pantries in Lee and Epping - if you live in a town that has a small pantry that would like some fresh produce donations please let us know!  Gather distributes to many other food pantries in the area as well - so these tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, and other healthy veggies will be widely distributed!  If you would like to participate with us for any of these gleans, just reply to this email for the farm address.

Never gleaned before?  No problem!  Your gleaning coordinators (Shelly and Kelsey) are knowledgeable and will teach you how to harvest the crop!

Not available on any of these days but interested in local gleaning efforts?  You can register as a gleaning volunteer on NHGleans.org to stay in the know about future gleaning opportunities.  Also, head over to NH Gleans on Facebook to see pictures of gleans and all the amazing local farm produce we've been able to donate to Rockingham and Strafford County schools, food pantries, and soup kitchens!

Thanks!
Shelly
