Kia ora koutou, it's the gig-guide! but first a quick rundown from The Stomach. We're stoked to announce another workshop mini-series. The first will be a DIY focused recording techniques workshop on Wednesday 29th August. Soon after there'll be a DIY focused mixing workshop featuring a track entirely recorded DIY by Whanganui heavy weights Pull Down The Sun. That'll be on Wednesday 12th September. Rocking into October we're pleased to announce a follow up to our first pedal building workshop on Tuesday the 2nd. Sean Monaghan from Palmerston North City Library is cooking up a slightly more advanced build for the folks that are keen to step it up a notch. Registrations will be open very soon, but don't worry we'll keep you posted.

There's even more on the gig-guide this week. Info has been flooding in about all of the great local live music events going. With so much coming to us we've decided to keep this guide focused on live original music. If you've got something coming up that you'd like included in the gig-guide just flick us an email with the details and the poster - easy as that.

This week the absurdly named 'Asbestos Man' are making their debut at the Celtic Inn from 8pm on Thursday. Featuring familiar faces Hayden Lauridsen, Felix Carr, & Fraser Williams they're planning to put a markedly different spin on the Manawatū Jazz Club's regular gig. There's also shows by Mali Mali (Akl), Dick Tracy, Skitz Hydro, & Turbostill to look forward to. All the details are down there in the gig-guide. 

Don't forget that there's now also this group New Bands - Palmerston North for connecting with local musicians. You can use the threads here to set up jams, connect with other local bands on projects, find support artists, ask for advice from the combined local knowledge base or even post about your latest releases and events.
