Friday 10 August 2018
Friday 3 August was a HUGE day for Myross Bush School as we competed in the Southern Zone 'Moffett Cup'. This competition has now been running for 70 years and we have parents in our community who have competed in it!

We are very pleased to say that we dominated! We gained first place in the following categories:
  • Year 3+4 Rippa Rugby
  • Year 3+4 Tackle Rugby
  • Year 5+6 Netball
  • Year 5+6 Tackle Rugby (The actual Moffett Cup)
As a school we shone bright as our students not only gave it there all in the matches but demonstrated good sportsmanship all round. Congratulations Myross Bush School students! We are proud of you!

Thank you Coaches and Managers for your support, time and energy leading our teams :) Could not have done it without you.
On the same day as the Moffett Cup, we entered two teams into the Invercargill ePro8 Challenge. The ePro8 Challenge is an engineering and problem solving race.

Mrs K took our excited students along and the outcome was a 1st and 5th placing! That is fantastic stuff. Our top team now goes forward to compete in the Southland Grand Final on Tuesday 14 August. Go team MBS!
It was great to be able to celebrate with this wonderful lot of 'Learning Champions' over Thursday's morning tea. Yummy biscuits and conversations about ‘what makes a good learner’ were had and individual achievements honoured.

Student work in Kawaka, has been shortlisted for the 'Young Minds, Young Dreams' competition! Yay!

1st prize is $1,000
2nd prize is $500
3rd prize is $250
