Tour News
The FHA Tour, which happens once every two years, is our primary fundraiser. Ticket sales are going a little slowly this year, so we could use your help. If you are active on social media and would be willing to share the link to the tour page, the ticket site and/or the Facebook event it would help a lot. These are the links:

Seattle Night Out
Thank you to Tom Campbell and the FHA Social Committee who organised the free beer from Counterbalance Brewery for Seattle Night Out earlier this week. Looks like a number of docks took the opportunity to have a good time!

Aurora Bridge Updates from WSDOT's  Marqise Allen
8.10.2018 - I hope everyone has been able to keep cool these past few days. I only have a couple updates this week as Liberty continues working their way northward. Their crews will continue sandblasting and painting the section of the bridge above Dexter next week and through the week of Aug. 20. This means they’ll likely begin working over Westlake and the south side floating homes at the end of the month, likely sometime during the week of Aug. 27. Folks from Liberty estimate it will take about one to two months to complete the area of the bridge above Westlake. There will be no daytime or nighttime work on Wednesday, Aug. 15. Liberty will take the day off in recognition of a religious holiday.

8.1.2018 - Liberty Maintenance is still making good progress and will continue painting the portion of the bridge above Dexter the rest of this week and next week. Once they’re done with that section, they’ll begin working in the area above Westlake. Also, the streak of no night work continues. There won’t be any nighttime work the week of Aug. 6.As some of you have already seen, Liberty built 16-foot noise shields around the staging area near the floating homes on the south side of the bridge. They are planning to do some noise testing on Thursday, Aug. 2 in preparation for using the dust collector at this location sometime next week at the earliest. This testing will make sure that the noise from the staging area doesn’t exceed 73 decibels from 50 feet away. Adjustments will be made as needed to meet that standard, and I want to thank everyone in advance your patience.

Lake Union 10K
It has a big weekend for fundraisers around the lake. You may have heard Obliteride happening the last couple of days, tomorrow it is the Lake Union 10K which you can find out all about here.

Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.
All the best,
Sarah
