BOOT CAMP EDITION
I JUST FINISHED SUMMER "BOOT CAMP" AT SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY S.I. NEWHOUSE SCHOOL!

Hey there <<First Name>>!
I'm now saying "hello" from Syracuse, New York! If you've been following me for some time, you know I was accepted to SU's Newhouse School for Arts Journalism last year, but deferred. My six-week summer intensive semester affectionately known as "boot camp" ended last week, and so much has happened! There's a shot of me at Rochester's "Radio Social" having bowled four strikes in a row - unheard of!
On top of that epic win, I've already had a few of my articles published, in print and online, with Syracuse.com and its print paper The Post-Standard, and also with The Stand. I feel really embedded in the community already, and have been getting involved in art initiatives. The people here are amazing, and I feel like I came to Syracuse at just "the right time" for big changes. My new favorite ice cream place is "The Ice Cream Stand" downtown, still working on a favorite food place. I pretty much just make a lot of chicken.
