‘Movement to access authenticity and healing’

Join us and dive into the practice of Nia and the experience the possibilities it can offer to support individuals and teams journey towards authentic relationships.  Jillian will share the foundation knowledge on the Nia Technique, as well as its philosophy and main principles. This will include the seven cycles of the class format and the setting of the focus and intent. We will participate in an hour-long Nia class to experience this healing modality first-hand.  After this, Jillian will facilitate discussions around how movement and the various ‘arts’ and principles in Nia could be beneficial for individuals and teams.

Jillian is passionate about creating spaces for individuals to access their authentic selves in order to stand in their power and show their strengths to the world – both in their working and personal capacity.
Jillian is also a Nia Technique Brown Belt teacher which forms an integral part of her life and is incorporated in all the modalities she offers. Nia is a movement and fitness technique which incorporate martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. The practice offers techniques that enhance the connection with mind, body, emotions and spirit promoting a healthy relationship both internally and externally.

Jillian Lambert offers learnings of a 20-year corporate career in Human Resources Management, within national and international companies. In her last corporate position, she was the Human Resources Director of McDonald’s South Africa.
After leaving the corporate world in 2003, she started The People Practice which offers a diverse range of solutions that are uniquely created for each client dependent on their needs and culture. These range from change management and strategic alignment, to creation and revision of HR policies and systems to suit the current needs of the business and employees. Over the past few years this has included long-term retainer clients, project work, training and development, strategy facilitation and executive coaching, both locally and internationally.
