(By SeAnne Kaufman) Seth Thompson, an officer and helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, was baptized on Sunday, July 29 in Enterprise, Alabama. Seth was first met by Jason Shaw in 2006 at Fort Rucker's warrant officer school in Enterprise. While stationed there, their wives, Christina Shaw and Sandra Thompson, started to study the Bible together. Their families continued to be friends when the Thompson's moved to Harker Heights, Texas.
There, Sandra was converted and became a true disciple of Jesus. Since then, she has been faithful in prayer, and with perseverance, has shown Seth the love of Jesus.
In the summer of 2017, Seth and Sandra and their beautiful children, Sophia, 16, and Ethan, 8, received orders to take them back to Fort Rucker, Alabama. They have since been a part of our Wiregrass House Church there. Seth studied the Bible with Marc Roe and Gary Adams. Because of Sandra’s amazing example, and the examples of all the disciples in his life, Seth came to the realization that he needed to choose God above all things.
We are so excited to have another warrior for God in our midst. May we all endeavor to live a life worthy of Jesus. Let us put on the breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, helmet of salvation, shield of faith and the sword of the word and be REAL BROTHERS in arms. Ephesians 6: 14-17 To God be the glory.
