Kia ora koutou, welcome to the slightly new look newsletter and local gig guide. What's changed? We've opened up the gig guide so that it now includes all of the shows that we've heard about that are happening here in the swamp. We've been trawling through all the listings so that we can present them for you in one easy to follow gig guide! We've even included links with each listing so you can visit the event page, buy tickets, and check out the artists.

To help us gather up all the gigs you can email yours to us to have it included. Just send us a link to the event and a copy of the poster. If you know someone who loves live music but can't be bothered digging around on Facebook, eventfinda, UTR, etc why not recommend that they sign up?

We've been keeping busy here at The Stomach cooking up some shows, workshops, live to airs, and of course SwampFest18 for you. Stay tuned for all the details soon.

We recently launched an new group on Facebook, New Bands - Palmerston North. A digital noticeboard of sorts, the group is open for anyone looking for bandmates, someone to jam with, but also for new bands to share what they're up to so we can hook up shows. 

In the meantime though check out the latest live to air from our mates up the hill Radio Control 99.4FM. This one features local electronic wiz Hayden Sinclair in his latest configuration 'GeoCities' He's played a few shows at The Stomach lately, bringing together a tasty blend of blips and field recordings. 

Poster & Photo Drive
We've been doing a bit of a round up of our great posters and photos in preparation for SF18. Check out some of the highlights (like the photos up top) here. The poster collection is set to be launched digitally in the next few months. If you have any old photos or posters from shows at The Stomach or SwampFest we'd love to have them. Email us to add them to the collection.

Creative Sounds Society

If you're interested in volunteering or nominating yourself (or someone else you think might be great for the role) for the Management Committee feel free to get in touch to find out more. The Management Committee will be selected by vote at the upcoming AGM.

CSSI membership forms can be found here (membership is free and also helps the society when we apply for funding). There are currently close to 300 members of the society.
