Hammock to 3K Program from Newmarket Rec

We know your hammock is comfy, but why not get moving this summer with Newmarket Rec’s NEW Hammock to 3K program? (H23K)

Newmarket Recreation in collaboration with L.R.A.C. Lamprey River Advisory Committee (program sponsor) is committed to getting more people involved in this passive recreation activity as well as provide fun social meet-up training opportunities where people can gain more confidence in their kayaking skills while passively enjoying the sights and sounds of the Lamprey Rivers!

Newmarket Rec has arranged for several FREE meet up/training sessions to be held at either Schanda Park on Water Street, or at the Piscassic Street Boat Launch both located in Newmarket NH for anyone 16 and up who wants to just show up and get started on the road (in this case River) from Hammock to 3K!

Those with kayaks can bring their own, and those who need them can utilize the Rec’s discounted $10 rental per H23K meet-up that comes with the program.

Who knows after participating in this program, participants may be ready to plunder the seas and join in the fun for the Annual Splash & Dash 3K Kayak/Canoe Race on Sat. August 25th! This year’s theme is Pirates of the Lamprey River!

As a regular Hammock to 3K participant, you also get a discounts on:

- Splash & Dash race registration at $10/participant
- Discounted kayak capsize course on Sat August 11th 6pm at the Jenny Thompson pool in Dover @ $25/participant. (That’s a 75% off discount)

Can’t make on Saturday, no worries, we have the following more dates and times with other training components scheduled. Can’t attend all? No worries, attend when you can!

- Thursday August 9th at 6pm at Piscassic Street Boat Launch

- Saturday August 18th at 10:30am at Schanda Park

- Thursday August 23rd at 6pm at Piscassic Street Boat Launch.
